Dog Ear Flushing

If we have prescribed an ear flush for your dog, you will need to use it as often as we recommend no matter how much your dog dislikes it. (If there are any concerns or adverse reactions, of course contact us before proceeding with the treatment.) Fortunately, if you follow the instructions as we lay out in the video your dog’s ears will be back to normal in no time. We will provide the flush, so all you will need is something to dry the ear with after using the flush. Any clean, dry cloth that you have at home can be used. Since having your ear canal filled with fluid generally isn’t an enjoyable experience, we also recommend having treats on hand. We use Churu in the video and even though it’s a cat treat it’s very rare that a patient will dislike it. We often put them in Kong toys or let patients lick it straight out of the tube.
