Low risk, non-invasive therapy for all animals used to reduce pain, relax muscles, improve digestion and much more.

Acupuncture is a treatment that works through the nervous tissue and connective tissue to reduce pain and initiate a healing response. It is a low risk, non-invasive, adjunctive therapy that is proven to reduce pain, relax muscles, improve digestion and dissipate stress.

Small silicone-coated needles (also known as dry needling) are placed through the skin at specific points on the body to generate a healing response. The needle placement causes release of endorphins and the body’s natural steroids that cause relaxation during treatment.

Electrostimulation can be applied to the dry needling to deliver a deeper, larger reaching treatment.

Only licensed veterinarians with advanced acupuncture training and certification can administer acupuncture treatment. Dr. O’Brien completed her acupuncture certification at the Medical Acupuncture for Veterinarians course through Colorado State University.
